My game review:
Finally, there is an action-adventure game where you can take credit for playing in shadow mode (stealth mode). New arts of killing enemies from underwater, tree top, mud-wall and bush-wall camouflage are now official in Tomb Raider. In this third part of TR “Bone Chilling Tracks” of the higher mountains will put you in continuous puzzles with serious Heights and a sloppy situation. There is nothing like Tomb Raider in the history of gaming. And the graphics is keep getting more realistic with very serious details. You can see the elasticity of the human skin with very realistic shades. Super realistic underwater diving experience.
The logic of combat also improved with realistic camouflage and “signs of awareness of enemies” that we saw in Mafia III. The good thing is that this part gives you a petrol bomb from the very beginning. One wrong shot or attack will bring a whole army against you straight away if you are playing HARDCORE. So be careful with the strategy of each checkpoint after initial assessment.
FULL STORY OF THE GAME :
The story starts with a plane crash in Peru, as always the Croft needs an excuse to enter old ruins, then the background info is revealed in the next scene, which was gathered from Mexico two days back. Lara and Jonah found a clue about the Pink fish, Silver crowned mountain, in a temple in Mexico two days back. Then Lara discovered the truth that they should be in Peru. Dr Dominguez, the archaeologist expert in precolonial ruins, seemed to be controlling an army named Trinity was looking for them in the wrong location in Brazil. But Lara doesn’t know what Trinity is looking for in the hidden cities in Mexico.
Trinity becomes aware of the arrival of Croft in Mexico, and the story puts them face-to-face over and over. Lara followed Dominguez to a Dig site in Mexico, then rescued an archaeologist on the way and got the information that today Trinity found the entrance to a temple after looking for so many years.
Temple of Moon Goddess: Lara headed toward the entrance of the temple of Moon Goddess IX CHEL AND CHAK CHEL through the mountains and caves under water. She reached the underground pyramid-like temple and climbed on top of it. She found some Clues in a Mural, like the Silver box of Ix CHEL in the hidden city, and the box will summon the god KulKulkan, then a tsunami, storm, earthquake and volcano. Lara understood what Trinity was after. In Maya belief, the god Kulkulkan is the god of creation and destruction whose heart was stored in a dagger inside the temple in Mexico. Lara picked up the dagger and caused a serious tsunami after Trinity captured her and took away the dagger.
Lara misunderstood the mural, which actually says that the silver box was to stop the tsunami and the dagger will start the series of epocolips that Deminguez was telling. But Lara knows the real aim of Trinity was to get the dagger and the box to remake the whole world. They are after that power and will go to the hidden city of Peru in the silver mountain for the silver box now.
Kuwaq Yaku in Peru: Lara knows that she has woken up, taking the dagger and must go after the box to stop the series of catastrophes. The story comes back to the first scene of a plane crash in Peru Amazon forest, then an attack of jaguars straight away. The pilot was eaten already, but Jonah was found alive at the crash site. In a flashback, it shows the story of how Lara's father was killed. In this part of TR, Lara is actually coming after the killer of her father, Trinity. As usual, Trinity was here in the silver mountain before them. Lara started talking with locals and started exploring all known ruins for a clue to the silver box. It was known that the Inka civilisation was in Peru, where Lara was looking for clues for the Maya in Peru. “Ix Chel and Chak Chel.. The Twins come together” is a clue they found in the first ruin in the Peru village appears to mean Life & Death. Lara sees the “Temple of Life” now and starts exploring “PATH OF THE LIVING”.
Temple of life: Lara follows the PATH OF LIVING and reaches the Temple of Life, then opens a puzzle of a gate using the numbers of twins Xshal and Xi chal. Inside the temple, she finds a Mural with clues of a journey that enters through Jaguar Mouth, follows a serpent toward the silver eye. On the way, spider, eagle. The local woman, Abby, points out the location of the jaguar's mouth, so Lara heads back to Kuwaq Yaku village through “PATH OF THE DEAD”, escaping flood ruins underwater. As usual, every step of the way, Trinity was attacking her. Some sort of creature was eating Trinity in the jungle.
Hidden city Paititi: Abby shows her the entrance to Jaguar mouth, which is a path to the hidden city. Trial of the Eagle is a puzzle based on wind that she crossed and reached the hidden city (which is Paititi village) to find “serpent with the silver eye”. Lara rescued the son (Etzli) of the queen in the Paititi village and met the queen. Lara and the queen (UNURATU) shared their stories centring the silver box and moon goddess, then Lara said her father was killed by Trinity. Unuratu advised that the serpent with the silver eye is a place of death where lives are sacrificed; no one ever came back from this place, but Lara decided to go there to look for the silver box to stop the catastrophe she started in Mexico, picking up the dagger. Dr Dominguez is Amaru, who was born in the village claiming him as god Kukulkan, who will sacrifice his life to stop the catastrophe and save everyone. Rightful queen Unuratu and her people seemed to rebel against him and Trinity. Amaru is the brother of Unuratu’s dead husband, Sayri, and after his death, Amaru joined Trinity.
Serpent with silver eyes: Extreme looking tracks through the mountain, Lara crossed “Belly of the serpent” and came to know that Trinity was looking for someone named Lopez (archaeologist) in here. Jonah was looking for a clue to the silver box as well and was saying that the tattoos of Unuratu might have a link. Lara crossed “Head of the serpent”, breaking the puzzle of blood and fire. As soon as she came back to the village, she saw that Etzli had been captured by Trinity in an attack. Unuratu told Lara that the Key she found in the head of the serpent belongs to the mountain temple (Eye of the Serpent), which would be her next mission, where Etzli is kept now. Lara took the back way through the salt mine to enter the stronghold and open the gate for rebels to rescue Etzli, but unfortunately, Unuratu was captured while freeing Etzli.
Eye of the serpent: Lara now goes after the silver box of Xi Chal in the eyes of the serpent in Cenot vista. She enters the temple, which is crawling with ferocious kinds of humans. The story finally enters hardcore fighting. Eye of the serpent seemed to be a Puzzle of hydraulic wheels to open a gate. No silver box was discovered other than the ferocious people of Xi Chal, who are the rightful owners of the box. Lara said it was a trap only. Finally, the hydraulic door was opened when everyone was gathered to takeaway life of Lara then she saved her life with a death run and returned to Paititi empty-handed handed as there was no silver box.
Back in Paititi village, Lara passed the hardest mountain tracks. Went after a shield through Path of Huracan and saved Unuratu. 3 secret items for Etzli’s coronation ceremony, where one was missing.
Lara went after King's horn from Kabil, the instrument maker. Rescue Hakan. Lara heard a conversation between Amaru and Unuratu and discovered that the silver box was gone because A missionary, Andres Lopez, stole it 400 years ago. Lara reached the prison cell of Unuratu and freed her. Lara used the tattoo on the hand of Unuratu as the last clue and went to the tomb of the last emperor, Sinchi Chiqa, in the upper town. Unuratu dies guarding Lara in the tomb. Jonah was ready with a boat to leave the place as the earthquake was coming. Lara hands over the necklace of Queen Unuratu to her son to become the rightful king and leave for the box with the new cue from the tomb.
Church of Lopaze: A helicopter attacks them on the river, and they become separated again in the jungle. Lara fought her way through the jungle and was tracked by Trinity as the radio channel was bugged. She heard Jonah was dead from Commander Rourke. After some unprecedented fights in the oil field, Jonah was discovered alive, and then they went after the church of Lopaze. The box was discovered in the church of Lopaze in a series of puzzles, but Amaru took the box away.
Jonah was running with the silver box of CHAK CHEL from the church of the 15th-century archiologist Lopaze, who was literally trying to destroy all the clues of the God Kukulkan and had hidden the silver box in the church. Amaru, Dr Domingaz had the dagger of Xi Chal was going after Jonah to get the silver box to get the power of God Kulkulkan in a ritual. Lara was crossing the jungle, fighting with Trinity to get to Jonah and bring back the silver box to Paitity. Unfortunately, Jonah was captured by Amaru on his way then Lara and Jonah returned to Paitity empty-handed.
The new king of Paititi Etzil gathers his people and plans to attack Amaru to stop him from finishing the ritual. Lara was following the last instructions of Unuratu to look for crimson in the fire. Finally, it was discovered that the ferocious creatures near the water gates are the CHAK CHEL, and Unuratu was to represent Xi Chal and work together to save everyone from catastrophe.
